The Matrix - not only a Hollywood blockbuster, but is something very real and all around us. It is the reality that society has forced upon us through social conditioning.
It is the false reality that stops exceptional people reaching their full potential. And when I say exceptional, I mean you, your friends, your family, myself and everybody else that lives... or ever will live!
Because we are all exceptional in our own way, but sadly most of us never discover what our talents or abilities even are, let alone use our abilities to reach our full potential.
Why is this you may ask? Well, let me explain...
From the moment we are born, we are socially conditioned. And this social conditioning continues throughout your whole life. It is so powerful and has so many far reaching consequences and yet most of the time we do not even realise it is happening!
In many ways it can actually be very beneficial. Conditioning helps us become the social beings that we are designed to be.
However, social conditioning can also be incredibly damaging. It can instil fear, make us anxious, nervous, and it can leave us feeling as though we are not good enough. Magazines and social medial try to convince us we have to look a certain way or be a certain size. We are told that trying to follow your dreams is futile... that becoming wealthy is only possible for lucky lottery winners or those who were born into money... And those that do have money are greedy or undeserving. We are told we are the equivalent to a virus, destroying our planet and using up all the finite resources with our selfishness and greed.
We are taught to go to school, get a job, work hard every day just to pay the bills and put food on the table. We are encouraged to get student loans, credit cards, a mortgage... encouraged to get into so much debt that you can never escape the rat race... never even attempt to reach your true dreams and aspirations. You aren't clever enough/good looking enough/lucky enough anyway - why bother trying?
We are taught that living mediocre lives is normal...
BUT IT IS NOT NORMAL...
We do not have to live in mediocracy. We live in an abundant, unlimited universe where there is plenty enough for every person and every living thing. Why should only 1% of the world have half of all the money when the poor have only 1% of it between them? Why do we accept our average lives without questioning anything?
First we need to realise where it all begun. How did we become so easily conditioned?
The conditioning begun when you were just a young, vulnerable child and it was taught to you by the very people you trust the most - your parents/guardians and teachers. They did not do this with any ill intent, they were just passing on the false information that they too had been conditioned to believe. They probably had very good intentions but, unfortunately even the best intentions can have disastrous consequences.
Social conditioning from politicians, religious leaders, governments and advertising continued to shape how you grew. It has shaped everything from what you eat, wear, your hobbies, how much you earn and what car you drive. It has shaped your religious beliefs, how you feel about yourself and what you think you are capable of.
But these belief systems are wrong and many of them have no basis in reality. Magazine images are heavily manipulated, politicians and governments lie, advertising and the news distorts reality. The social conditioning we receive from them creates a false reality - the matrix we are living in.
This matrix keeps people down.
It is what keeps you from reaching your full potential, from becoming the exceptional person you was born to be.
The good news is, once you realise the truth - once you realise that any limitations you feel do not really exist, then you can BREAK FREE of the matrix!
We can all choose what we want to believe - we do not have to accept false information. We can reprogram our minds to accept more positive conditioning. Conditioning that will help, rather that hinder our lives. We can learn how to discover our unique talents and abilities and use them to reach our full potential.
Remember... Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. - Albert Einstein.
YOU have the power to free your mind, to open your eyes and break free of the matrix.
YOU can live the life you really want and do the things you have always dreamed of.
But where do you begin? How do you start reprogramming all of the negative social conditioning and false beliefs that are currently part of your subconsciousness? How do you go about making a positive reality for yourself so you can reach your full potential and live a fulfilling life?
This is the 6 steps you need to take to escape the matrix and start living your dream life TODAY!
1. Question everything!
What are your beliefs? How do you feel about religion, politics, philosophy, economics? Are these beliefs truly your own or have they been conditioned into you? Would you still hold the same beliefs if you lived in a different part of the world or period in time?
If not, there is a good chance they have been conditioned into you. Do not accept other peoples beliefs, learn how to think for yourself and question EVERYTHING!
"Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true." - Buddha
2. Turn off the TV!
The news warps our perception of reality and makes us feel stressed and anxious. It is often manipulated and dramatised to mislead the public, whilst serving journalists and governments. Latest research suggests the news can influence everything from our perception of risk, the content of our dreams and even our chances of having a heart attack and other health problems years later.
Reality shows such as Keeping Up With The Kardashians try to convince us that these people are living perfect, glamourous lives, and make us feel that our own lives are somehow inadequate. Of course in reality, much of what we see in these shows is manipulated and fake.
The popular show Love Island, promotes the perfect, slim toned body and will leave you feeling as though you somehow do not measure up. But what they don't tell you on the show, is that the contestants often go to extreme measures to get that 'perfect' body - often adopting gruelling diets and workout routines for months before coming on the show.
Soaps are so over-dramatised and negative they can leave you feeling depressed and even suicidal. To suck you in, they will often go to extreme story lines, including abuse, torture, suicide, rape and murder and all this has a huge influence on our behaviour.
And if all the manipulated news stories, glamorised reality shows and soaps aren't enough to meddle with your sense of reality, there are plenty of adverts in between to finish the job! Adverts make us think we must have the latest phone, gadget, car or even encourage you to get loans to buy even more stuff you don't really need. If you are not keeping up with the Jones' (or Kardashians!) you are a pathetic human being that needs to get a life... Hmmm I don't think so.
If you cannot stay away from TV completely, at least try to limit your exposure as much as possible and be very choosy what you watch!
3. Stay away from negative people.
A negative person is anyone that brings you down, makes you feel bad, or does not seem to want you to succeed. These people are toxic and their toxicity is highly contagious. They have a very negative view of the world and their negative beliefs will rub off on you if you are not highly guarded.
Remember, your subconscious does not know the difference between real and fake... if you listen to negative people on YouTube, TV etc, it is just as bad as hanging around with negative people in real life. Instead tune in to positive people who you admire and trust the opinions of.
4. Get back in touch with nature.
Take a walk in the park or along the beach, dip your toes in the sea, swim with dolphins or climb a mountain - getting close to nature is incredibly grounding. Nature is brilliant at letting us see things from a new perspective and helping us realise what is real and important... and what is just superficial nonsense!
5. Develop a positive mindset.
Develop your own positive reality by looking for beauty and positivity at every opportunity. Start noticing all the little things... notice how the sun feels on your skin on a sunny day or how crisp and clean the air feels as you take a deep breath on a cold morning. Stop to smell the flowers!
Look for the good in everything and you will find more good comes your way. It is known as The Law of Attraction and if you don't know much about it, then I highly recommend you read The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes. It will change your life, I promise!
6. Mind Hacking Techniques
Luckily our minds are very malleable and anything that has been programmed in... can be programmed out (and replaced with pretty much anything we like!). There are so many techniques you can use to reprogram your mind from hypnosis to affirmations, visualisations to lucid dreaming.
